Tandem Cycle
A tandem cycle in fertility treatment means that the donor's and the recipient's menstrual cycles are coordinated so that eggs can be collected from the donor and embryos can be transferred to the recipient at the same time, improving the chances of a successful pregnancy.
Tandem Cycle Treatment
Tandem cycle IVF combines elements of both IVF with own eggs and IVF with donation. It is a treatment option for couples in which one partner has fertility challenges while the other is still able to provide viable eggs or sperm. During a tandem cycle, both partners undergo simultaneous IVF procedures. One partner's eggs are retrieved and fertilized, while the other partner may also choose to have their eggs retrieved and fertilized or use donor eggs or sperm if needed. The resulting embryos are then implanted into the uterus of the partner who is experiencing fertility issues, increasing the chances of a successful pregnancy. Tandem cycle IVF allows couples to share the experience of conception and parenthood.

What is the percentage of success that a Tandem Cycle has?Rates of success are affected by many factors like woman’s age, ovarian reserve, and quality of embryos from both the woman’s eggs and those of the donor. Tandem Cycles success rates are at par with the success rates of traditional IVF or Egg Donation cycles.
